& Nanxing: In The Mood for a Chat
November 20, 2001 From confidence level in the Star Awards, childhood ambition, favourite sports to having babies, surfers chatted away with Zoe and Nanxing to their hearts' content last Friday night! By Angelene Wong It was a rare opportunity and it's no surprise that fans and surfers lapped it up.
For all you surfers who cut us deep by those hurtful accusations (yes, you…), we had a 'live' webcast of the chat and lovely pictures in this story to show for. So there. No more 'Is-it-really-them' questions from now on or we'll get nasty for real the next time.
In a visibly relaxed mood, the stars sauntered in dressed in casuals. Nanxing in a striped Mambo shirt and pants and Zoe looking chic in a purple top and denim knee-length skirt. Tons of questions and good wishes flooded in fast and furious from fans in Singapore as well as from overseas like Malaysia, Taiwan and Hong Kong for both Zoe and Nanxing. The 2 popular stars are up for Best Actor and Actress awards for their roles in The Stratagem (for Zoe) and Dare To Strike (for Nanxing). They are also in the running for the Top 10 Most Popular Male/Female Artiste and the Most Popular Male/Female Artistes (Malaysia) - facts about their idols that the fans knew by heart. But that's not all they knew, as the stars discovered. Besides professing their undying support for Zoe and Nanxing, the chat proved to be a chance for some fans to show off how much they knew (or think they do) about their idols. <penguin1>

As the chat wore on, Zoe and Nanxing got into the mood of things as they teased and mucked around. When a surfer gushed repeatedly that 'Nanxing is very handsome,' Zoe retorted teasingly 'Very handsome meh?' while fending off friendly jibes from Nanxing.
Zoe was in a mischievous mood and even bantered with her fans calling them their 'good friends' and even getting cheeky at times. <ZoeTay> support me & i give present Questions about when she planned to have a baby were aplenty and finally Zoe held out a playful ultimatum to her adoring fans.
