40 hot stars, up for your vote!

November 9, 2001

Catching up with the stars . . .
So is it elation or plain, boring 'I'm-in-it again' for the stars who made it to the Top 10 list so far?

· Xie Shaoguang: "You don't really think of winning awards when you're working continuously, but it would be motivation for me if I get in. I appreciate audiences voting me because it's a sign that they know me and my work." · Lilin: "I'm content so it won't matter that much if I get into the list or I don't. It's nice to be recognized for my work but getting in doesn't value my acting any more or less."
· Edmund Chen: "I feel very comfortable with where I am now, acting again after a break, and being nominated this time makes me feel very wanted! Frankly, awards do mean something to actors, like a little pat on the back, a boost of morale."

· Xiang Yun: "I was worried I wouldn't get in the nomination this year because of my pregnancy. When I had my first baby, my career went into a bit of a slump, but I got in last year and things are going well.

"I think Edmund has a high chance too; he's very suited for the entertainment industry. Only hitch is that audiences might not have seen much of him this year on TV because he's only acted in 2 shows briefly."
